ANM Entrance Examination 2024: Admission Notification for ANM Course in Assam

The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has released an official notification inviting applications for the ANM Entrance Examination (ANMEE) 2024. This examination is for the selection of candidates for admission into the ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) Course in 10 Government ANM Training Schools under the Directorate of Health Services (Family Welfare), Assam, for the academic session 2024-2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen.
• Permanent Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Assam. (Exemption applies to wives/daughters of employees of the Govt. of Assam.)
• Age Criteria:
  • Minimum Age: 17 years on or before 31st December 2024.
  • Maximum Age: 35 years (42 years for Anganwadi, Asha Workers, and Trained Dias).
• Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Medical Fitness: Admission is subject to a satisfactory medical examination report.
• Gender: Only female candidates are eligible to apply.

Question Type: Multiple-choice questions.

Marking Scheme: Each question carries 2 marks. No negative marking for wrong answers.

Languages: The question paper will be in both English and Assamese, but answers must be filled in English only.

Selection Process

• Merit List: The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given in the following order:
  • Marks in English in the entrance exam.
  • Marks in General Science.
  • Marks in Mathematics.
  • Marks in English in the qualifying examination (if needed).

Important Notes

• The candidates must keep their Application Form Number and Password safe as it is required for downloading the Admit Card and for any future reference.
