Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. Proof of residence will be required after the publication of the final selection list.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age as of January 1, 2024.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) or an equivalent examination from a recognized institution.

Documents Required

• Proof of Age: Admit Card/Certificate of HSSLC or equivalent examination.
• Educational Qualification: Pass Certificate and Mark Sheet of the HSSLC examination.
• Other Documents: Candidates must include their full/proper address with PIN code, a valid email address, and a mobile phone number in their application forms.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height (Minimum): 162.56 cm (5'3")
• Chest: 80 cm (31.5") unexpanded, 85 cm (33.5") expanded

For Female Candidates:

• Height (Minimum): 154.94 cm (5'1")

Selection Procedure

1. Preliminary Verification of Documents: Candidates whose applications meet all the requirements will be invited for a written test.
2. Written Test: Maximum 50 marks.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST): No marks assigned; candidates must pass preliminary check-ups including height, weight, chest measurements, vision test, and other physical checks.
4. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Maximum 40 marks.
5. Personality Test/Viva Voce: Maximum 5 marks.
6. Home Guard/NCC Training in Unarmed Combat: Maximum 5 marks.

The total score is out of 100 marks.

Candidates must submit their applications in hard copy, along with the required documents, to the Personnel Branch of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation by August 31, 2024.
